The Bonn Climate Change Conference
is less than two weeks away. The forty-sixth sessions of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 46) and Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA 46) as well as the third part of the first session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Paris Agreement (APA 1-3) will take place from 8 to 18 May 2017, in Bonn, Germany. The conference will cover a range of issues related to climate change adaptation as well as loss and damage. The UNFCCC Secretariat has released a number of documents in preparation for the upcoming conference.

Representatives from AGWA's Policy Group
will take part in portions of the conference. Of particular interest is a session focused on the Nairobi Work Programme and Partners entitled "Ecosystems & water resources: Advancing action through knowledge." This event will take place on 15 May. The event aims to present key trends in adaptation addressing ecosystems and water resources, including ecosystem-based adaptation; facilitate a dialogue among Parties and non-Party stakeholders on countries’ needs and on collaborative actions to respond to these needs in scaling up adaptation action.
