Second International Seminar on Water Security

The Mexican Institute of Water Technology (IMTA) is hosting the Second International Seminar on Water Security. During the conference, experts will gather to share experiences, explore strategic alliances, and identify projects and possible national and international synergies on Water Security. Presentations will cover actions for improving decision making, preserving the environment, and generating resilience in the face of future challenges.

UNECE's 8th session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Water Convention

You are invited to join more than 400 representatives of Ministries, joint bodies, international and non-governmental organizations and academia from all regions of the world who will come together in Astana, Kazakhstan from 10 to 12 October, to discuss transboundary water cooperation, at the eighth Meeting of the Parties (MOP 8) to the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes (Water Convention). This high-level meeting, organized by the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) which services the Water Convention, is in many ways historic: it will be the first MOP held in Asia and the first one with membership of the Convention beyond the pan-European region, symbolically marking the beginning of a new era for the Convention.
