The webinar will present the Guidebook for national adaptation M&E systems, developed in collaboration with the UNFCCC Adaptation Committee and the Least Developed Countries Expert Group. This guidebook provides orientation for the development of (sub)national adaptation M&E systems. It takes a step-by-step approach, providing reference to existing approaches and practical examples at each step. Catalyzing climate change adaptation in cities through knowledge

The event provides the opportunity to present the NWP, by introducing its role in informing governments during the climate negotiations, its upcoming activities on human settlements, as well as the knowledge resources it has generated with contributions from its 320 partner organizations. In the field of urban adaptation, mitigation, and resilience, the UCCRN -- with its network of 750 expert scholars and urban practitioners -- is one of the key knowledge partners of the NWP, as evidenced by the Second UCCRN Assessment Report on Climate Change and Cities (ARC3.2) that will be presented during the event. NAP Expo 2016: Advancing National Adaptation Plans post-Paris

The NAP Expo is an annual outreach event organized by the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG), in collaboration with various bodies and organizations, to promote exchange of experiences and foster partnerships between a wide range of actors and stakeholders on how to advance national adaptation plans (NAPs). It brings together national leaders and policymakers on NAPs, as well as representatives from the Green Climate Fund, the Global Environment facility, United Nations organizations, international organizations, bilateral and multilateral agencies, regional centres and networks, as well as scientists and practitioners. UNFCCC Adaptation Committee: Establishing a partnership platform to provide technical support

During the Bonn Climate Change Conference, the Adaptation Committee will conduct a side event that on collecting information and assessing support for the establishment of a partnership platform with regional centers, to provide technical support on adaptation to developing countries.

This side-event will provide an occasion to discuss some key findings regarding recent activities undertaken by regional centers and networks on adaptation planning processes and processes and structures for linking national and local adaptation planning, in the context of the Nairobi work programme. UNFCCC COP 20 Side Event

This side event will aim to build recognition of the links between climate adaptation, mitigation, and resilience, while focusing on water resources as the common denominator between the strategies. We will share experiences and lessons learned in areas related to water management, energy efficiency, sustainable drainage systems, catchment protection and management and the promotion of policies which improves adaptive capacity and builds resilience, while aiming at not increasing the greenhouse gas emissions.
