Climate change adaptation in basins: examples and good practices

This WWF7 Thematic Session (1.3.6) focuses the effects of climate change from a basin-wide perspective. Examples of basins working on climate change adaptation are provided, including work supported by the UNECE Water Convention and INBO, IUCN, and others. It culminates in a collection of lessons learned and good practices in transboundary basin management.

Adapting to climate change, focus on Disaster Risk Prevention in a long term perspective

This WWF7 Thematic Session (1.3.4) focuses on disaster risk prevention as compared to crisis management, which is more common in most countries. Emphasis is given to the Netherlands' approach through its Dutch Delta Programme. Other approaches are explored and examined for their strengths and shortcomings.
