10th World Water Forum: Reimagining the Role of Finance in Collective Action

Date & Time: 22 May 2024 | 13:00 - 14:30 Central Indonesia Time

Room: Pecatu 5

In this high-level panel at the 10th World Water Forum in Bali, Meike van Ginneken (Water Envoy, Kingdom of the Netherlands), Adrian Sym (Alliance for Water Stewardship), and Rachael McDonnell (International Water Management Institute and AGWA Board Member) will be speaking on Reimagining the Role of Finance in Collective Action.

The finance sector urgently needs a better understanding of water-related risks. A fundamental reimagining is required of the role and capabilities of collective action, with a focus on universal access to safe water, sanitation and climate resilience. The session will also examine how private finance can improve national and sub-national entity creditworthiness.
