Decision support processes for participatory water management: building capacities in Latin America and the Caribbean

The Water Center for Latin America and the Caribbean will be holding its 1st international meeting on “Decision support processes for participatory water management: building capacities in Latin America and the Caribbean” this April. This event is an important component of the “Decision Center for the Effective Management of Water” project, which is being managed by the Water Center for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Tecnológico de Monterrey together with the IADB and the FEMSA Foundation.

When: 14-15 April 2016
Where: Monterrey, N.L., Mexico
How to RSVP: This closed meeting is by invitation only.

Meeting participants will aim to create a model for collaborative water management decision support in the region, which is based on the modeling of the physical and socio-economic processes, collaborative decision techniques, and visualization tools in a space designed to foster collaboration within an immersive environment. The project also includes the renovation of the Water Network for Latin America and the Caribbean as a lessons-learned exchange mechanism on the implementation of water participatory management processes in the region, as well as seminars for specialists, decision-makers, and stakeholders.
