World Fish Migration Day Kickoff Celebration Livestreaming Today

TNC together with WWF and the World Fish Migration Foundation (WFMF) will be hosting the worldwide Kick-off celebration for World Fish Migration Day 2016. The event takes place later today (Friday May 20th, 2016) in Washington DC. Organizers have gathered a fantastic line-up of speakers and panelists to bring awareness to the importance of fisheries and healthy rivers for WFMD2016. Featured speakers will include Jennifer Haverkamp (Senior Water Advisor to Secretary of State Kerry), Zeb Hogan (Host of NatGeo’s Monster Fish), Gustaaf Borchardt (Chairman of the International Commission for the Protection of the Rhine), amongst several other keynotes. There will be a diverse panel, discussions and a special announcement by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dan Ashe and Deputy Johannes Kramer, Vice Governor of the Dutch Province of Friesland.
