On 17- 19 September 2019, the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) is holding a summit and workshop to showcase current case studies they are leading using bottom-up vulnerability assessment procedures.
The intent of the summit is to foster a discussion about moving from the ambition and vision in Governor Gavin Newsom's April 2019 executive order promoting water resilience, specifically through the use of multi-purpose, collaborative planning under climate change and other uncertain stressors. The press release and executive order from Governor Newsom can be read here: https://www.gov.ca.gov/2019/04/29/water-resilience-portfolio-for-california/
Registration is required for the summit; both registration and a draft agenda are available here: https://water.ca.gov/News/Events/2019/September-19/Planning-for-Change
A two-day workshop follows the summit and is designed to share experiences around investments and planning under deep uncertainty. More information about both events can be found by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org
