AGWA Accepting Nominations for Board of Directors Positions

The AGWA Board of Directors will have multiple openings at the end of the current term, which concludes at the upcoming Annual Members Meeting in late August. We are now seeking nominations for candidates to serve on the Board. We’re particularly looking to strengthen the Board with individuals with experience in the following areas:

  • Engaging with businesses on strategies for climate change adaptation/mitigation

  • Fundraising with philanthropies and foundations

  • Developing communications strategies

  • Engaging with MDBs.

Self-nominations or recommendations for colleagues are being accepted through 22 July. Terms for these volunteer positions are for three years. Anyone interested will need to review the Terms of Reference for joining AGWA’s Board to learn more about the responsibilities and requirements. Nominees need to submit the following materials:

  • a brief statement of interest (for self nominations) or nomination letter

  • a one-page CV

  • a short biosketch (<250 words)

Nomination packets can be submitted to AGWA’s Chief Operating Officer, Alex Mauroner. Portions of the materials above may be used in the voting packet distributed to members.

Open positions will be voted on by AGWA members through a virtual voting platform ahead of the Annual Meeting in August.
