Charting the 2023 Policy Landscape: Linkages between UN Conferences and Events in 2023
Preparations for the major events in 2023 offer the chance to create an interlinked agenda that builds through the year. Last month, Friends of Governance for Sustainable Development hosted a day-long workshop to bring together the thinking around the 2023 UN Water Conference, the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction Mid Term Review, High Level Dialogue on Financing for Development, Heads of State Round Tables, the Food System Summit Stock take, the Heads of State 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (including the SDGs) Summit and the Global Stocktaking that will lead to COP28.
On AGWA’s Resilient Waters Blog, we’ll feature an in-depth look into a couple main milestones this year and how they relate to next month’s UN Water Conference. These paired blogs derived from talks given in last month’s webinar offer insights into how we can build momentum to capitalize on a busy calendar of climate-water policy events.
