AGWA will be represented at the UNFCCC Latin America and the Caribbean Climate Week 2022, which provides a platform for governments and stakeholders to connect, collaborate, and advance action on climate change in the region. It is being framed as important step on the road to COP27 and an opportunity for regional stakeholders to address social inequalities and invest in economic development that is good for humanity and nature.
LACCW 2022 is a collaboration platform to explore:
Resilience against climate risks
The transition to a low-emission economy
Partnerships to solve pressing challenges.
During the climate week, AGWA will be organizing a session on ways in which LAC countries are taking proactive steps to incorporate water resilience within their climate programming, highlighting the use and potential role of the Water Tracker for National Climate Planning.
Sessions will take place in Santo Domingo, Dominical Republic. Registration for the Week is available through the online platform through 14 July, free of charge.
