AGWA will attend the UNFCCC Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Climate Week 2022 (the first for the region) which provides a platform for governments, cities, private sector leaders, financial institutions and civil society to discuss pathways to build forward from the COVID-19 pandemic by identifying opportunities to enhance climate action.

Key stakeholders will come together to take the pulse of climate action in the MENA region, explore the pressing climate challenges, identify opportunities and showcase ambitious solutions — all to accelerate and enhance action in the region for 2022 and beyond.

During the climate week, AGWA will be involved in a number of sessions and events on topics such as the Water Tracker for National Climate Planning, climate-resilient food systems, and policy engagement through the Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action.
