Incorporating Climate Risks into Decision Making Through CRIDA: Perspectives from Zambia and Chile
This webinar took place on 24 September 2020. It is the second in a series of webinars on climate-resilient water management approaches. More information at https://agwaguide.org/training/webinar-series-climate-resilient-water-management-approaches/.
The webinar introduces participants to real-life examples of case studies that were performed within the Climate Risk Informed Decision Analysis (CRIDA) framework in vastly different contexts. A case study from Zambia presents CRIDA in the context of a larger development project aimed at improving water, sanitation and sewage in the country, where the method was piloted as part of the rehabilitation of a water treatment plant. Another example illustrates how CRIDA has been performed for the Limarí river basin in Chile as a case study on how climate change information can be used for decision-making at the watershed scale. Q&A sessions are run after each case study presentation, featuring interventions and questions from local project partners. The Q&A also feature questions from the audience in order to facilitate an open discussion and provide for an interactive webinar.
