Alex Mauroner

Chief Operating Officer

Alex Mauroner is the Chief Operating Officer at AGWA, a position he has held since April 2021. Previously in the organization he served as Research Associate then Network Director after starting with AGWA in 2014. Alex helps coordinate and oversee the various programs led by the AGWA Secretariat and broader membership. His work supports the Executive Director’s in partnership development and external collaborations focusing on the long-term vision and continuity of AGWA. As COO, Mr. Mauroner coordinates many aspects of AGWA’s internal operations such as reporting, knowledge sharing, and communications. He contributes to the administration of numerous grant programs, finance, and governance activities.

Alex holds a BA in Biology from Westminster College and a Professional Science Master’s in Environmental Science from Oregon State University, where he concentrated on natural resource management, business, and communication.
