Amit Singh
Amit Singh is the Project Development Specialist at the Pacific NDC Hub. He is seconded to the NDC Hub by the Pacific Community (SPC). His primary interest is the water resources management and development in Pacific Small Island Developing States (PSIDS), with a focus on waterways and surface water management associated with future climate uncertainties, and groundwater characterization and management in an atoll landscape context, he has worked extensively on projects around Pacific SIDS. He has an MSc in Water Resources Management from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, Delft, the Netherlands.
Amit firmly believes in water-centric climate resilience and extensively advocates adaptive water management for a resilient future. In his current role, he is responsible for directing MoWE’s policy direction on waterways, flood and coastal management, mainstreaming water-centric adaptation and mitigation strategies, and establishing collaborative partnerships with potential donors. Amit has been active in mainstreaming water management during Fiji’s NAP development process.
