Compilations of Illustrative Targets and Indicators for the Global Goal on Adaptation

The UN Foundation has submitted inputs to the Glasgow-Sharm el-Sheikh Work Programme on the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA). Released ahead of an upcoming GGA workshop in early June, the paper focuses on adaptation targets and indictors while highlighting a number of relevant tools and metrics. AGWA and several other organizations contributed to the publication. Although the new resource is written towards the GGA, it is relevant for anyone working on adaptation indicators.

The workshop will take place from 4-5 June 2023 in Bonn and online under the title "Zooming in: Target setting, metrics, methodologies and indicators for the GGA as well as steps of an iterative adaptation cycle and means of implementation, taking account of the systems and sectors set out by the IPCC, and of options for enhancing efforts to mainstream adaptation in national priority areas or sectors.”
