Global webinar on the road to COP28

In the run-up to COP28, there are some important global climate processes taking place, where water and sanitation need to feature prominently, and that will culminate at COP28. Those include the conclusion of the First Global Stocktake (GST), the definition of the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA), and the operationalization of the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF).

Sanitation and Water for All (SWA) and AGWA started mobilizing their network for collective action via two initial informational webinars on 24 May. The objective was to brief AGWA and SWA partners and focal points in countries on the global climate processes (GST, GGA, ET) that are taking place in the run-up to COP28, and discussed the action at global and national levels to positively influence those processes, ensuring the right inclusion of water, sanitation and hygiene.
