Water Day in the Race to Zero Dialogues
Water Day of the UNFCCC Race to Zero Dialogues took place on Thursday, 12 November 2020. The full-day event was organized by SIWI, along with IUCN, AGWA, UN Global Compact/CEO Water Mandate, and CDP.
Sessions featured world-leading experts focusing on how water can help us tackle the climate crisis. Speakers included Inger Andersen of UNEP, climate expert Johan Rockström, South African youth activist Akhona Xotyeni, Pope Francis’ climate advisor Cardinal Peter Turkson, and China’s leading environmentalist Ma Jun (among many others).
