Dani Gaillard-Picher
As Head of International Processes and Policy at the Stockholm International Water Institute, Dani Gaillard-Picher is passionate about sharing her nearly two decades of experience in water, sanitation and development policy and collective action with others. She has been heavily involved in UNFCCC COP processes since 2015 and, most recently, was project lead for the Water for Climate Pavilion at COP28. She was previously employed as Senior Specialist for Global Processes at the Global Water Partnership and Technical Coordinator for GWP's Climate Programme. Prior to that, she was Director of Policy and Programmes at the World Water Council, where she worked extensively on conceptualizing and supporting multi-stakeholder change processes through the triennial World Water Forums. She has served on numerous advisory boards, including the Hydrological Coordination Panel of the World Meteorological Organization, helped create the #ClimateIsWater campaign, and held the Vice Chairmanship for the Global Framework on Water Scarcity in Agriculture (WASAG).
Both American and French, she holds an undergraduate degree from the Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, USA) and a Masters in Global Development Management from the Open University (UK).
