Marvel Luzell
Program Officer
Marvel Luzell is a Program Officer at AGWA. She is extremely motivated to aid in streamlining operations and communication between members, institutions, and other organizations around the world. Marvel is passionate about the impacts of climate change on the world’s ecosystems, people, and infrastructures due to her passion to be a climate advocate. Pursuing education on the intersectionality of the global issues exacerbated by climate change, she is inspired to curate a community committed to sharing knowledge on water resilience. This includes providing educational and training materials on these issues and overall enabling sustainable communities worldwide. Marvel is involved in many tasks at AGWA, including supporting other members of the Secretariat in carrying out grant programming and setting up the internal systems needed for AGWA to function most efficiently as a growing global nonprofit.
Marvel holds a BS in Botany from Oregon State University, where she focused on community ecology and native plant conservation. She also holds a minor in sustainability with an emphasis on environmental justice.
