Tram Ngo

Grants Manager

Tram Ngo is the Grants Manager at AGWA. With over 11 years of experience in grants development, administration, and reporting, she has successfully secured and managed grants to support operations for education (adult literacy, early childhood, and after-school STEM programs), homelessness prevention (transitional housing, emergency shelters, rapid re-housing), and workforce development (local job readiness programs, the US Department of Labor's Senior Community Service Employment Program).

Having grown up in Hawaii, Tram is incredibly passionate about the plight of climate refugees, who are displaced from their communities due to climate change. She hopes to leverage her extensive experience in post-award compliance to support AGWA's various projects, including the Water Resilience Tracker for National Climate Planning, a tool and diagnostic guide AGWA launched in 2021 to help countries self-assess and enhance water resilience in their national climate plans.

Throughout her career, Tram has assumed various roles in planning, program evaluation, and development. At the Honolulu Community Action Program, Tram conducted community needs assessments and was in charge of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting all of HCAP's programs and services. Most recently, as a Government Grants Manager at Howard Brown Health, Tram acted as the main point of contact during site visits from funding agencies and ensured compliance with grant requirements.

Tram holds a Master’s degree in Education from Northwestern University and is currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Program Evaluation from Arizona State University. She has also been recognized as a Nationally Certified ROMA Implementer by the National Peer to Peer ROMA Training project, which is funded by the US Office of Community Services.
